EPDM is a terpolymer of ethylene, propylene, and an unspecified diene. It belongs to the synthetic rubbers with a saturated main chain. This rubber-elastic material is used in many ways in the sealing industry. Its special feature is its good resistance to weathering, ozone, UV light, acids, water, and water vapor. It is suitable for drinking water applications (approvals according to FDA, KTW, W270). EPDM is not resistant to hydrocarbons (mineral oils, gasoline, mineral lubricants).
